Beautiful rainbow coloured Teaching Clock! The clock travels through a variety of activities, resonating with a child’s rhythm of the day. Beautiful illustrations and moving hands will entice children and create the right atmosphere for engaged learning.

Exploring the clock, children may rightly ask why the moon is in the centre of the clock? Of course as adults we know the 12 hour clock will travel twice round the numbers in one day: but this concept is one worth exploring with children as they learn. The hands are aligned to point directly to the hours or minutes to help children tell one from the other. The minute and hour hand are also deliberately different colours. The numbers 1-60 help children spot that 60 minutes are in one hour – but this can also be helpful when explaining the idea of seconds. Common phrases to tell the time are written around the outer edge, children can independently use these phrases to create a time sentence when they are ready.

Created on 9mm FSC approved sustainable garnicia plywood the hands are also garnicia wood, held in place with a brass binding pin. This Teaching Clock, from product to the packaging is all sustainable and fully recyclable. This clock is meant as an educational tool and not a toy. Adult supervision recommended.
