Twelve sticks of coloured drawing chalk. Made of recycled scallop seashells blended with calcium carbonate. These chalks are thinner than regular Kitpas Chalk and they write smoothly and erase well.
Kitpas have been making quality art materials for over 80 years. In 1967 the production process was changed to reuse and recycle the local waste scallop shells. The use of powdered shells had the additional benefit of making Kitpas Chalks stronger, smoother, and longer lasting! Now, more than 60% of the chalks currently used by schools in Japan are Kitpas Chalks.
In 2005 Kitpas introduced buttery smooth, truly multi-surface, vividly colored and water soluble Kitpas Art Crayons which are also completely non-toxic and easy to clean up. These crayons won Japan’s prestigious “Stationary of the Year Award” in 2009. – let your creativity flow with the eco-friendly art materials.
Kitpas works with adults with special needs who currently make up 70% of its workforce.
